Kausarnag is filled with absolute beauty, the beauty of picturesque alpine lakes and the eternally peace-giving lakes. A special attraction of this trek is the River Vaishau. The trail starts from the Aharbal Lake, a serene beauty which is a major tourist spot. It is famously known as the “Niagra Fall” of Kashmir.

The camp is established here for the night.

Day 2 : Kungwattan – Kounsarnag Lake

We pack up and start early towards Kounsernag Lake and in five hours we are in front of the most beautiful triangular alpine lake of Pir Panjal. A stay of one night here makes us recall the sublime bliss of childhood sleep in the lap of nature. It is a photographer’s canvas all around the lake.

Day 3 : Kounsarnag Lake – Kungwattan

We pack up and descend with ease towards the base camp location Kungwattan. One more night here with shepherd’s following the law of nature and Vaishauriver roaring on its way to Aharbal makes us feel sublime.
