Sandwiched between mighty mountains and lush green meadows covered with wildflowers, the Alpather Lake located in Gulmarg is spellbinding. This lake stays frozen until most part of the year. Even if you visit in mid-June, you will get to see the frozen version of Alpather lake. Summertime lasts from May to September and this is when you can get to see the clear blue water of the lake. The white icebergs that float here and there adorn the lake during the greater part of the calendar year.
The backdrop of the lake is what makes this place special to any other lake. The lake is located 13 km away from the main Gulmarg town. The picturesque location attracts locals and tourists alike and is one of the favorite picnic spots around Gulmarg in good weather.
Arrive from airport then drop Gulmarg which is situated 2650m. And it‘s 53 km from Srinagar .after lunch you take your trek gear with your guide then go to strawberry valley which is camping site where you stay first night
After morning breakfast you will leave for trek “BILALABONCE LAKE” which is unexplored lake and after four hour trekking come to base camp and take you all gear for khilanmarg or kangandori which is 10500ft above the sea level stay one night there for acclimatize.
After breakfast you will leave for ALPATHER LAKE TREK which is 09 km from kangandori. It’s also un-explore lake to spend a whole day there after trekking back to basecamp and stay one more night there.
After breakfast you will leave for Gulmarg ground level it‘s only 23 hours trekking and explore some back part of Gulmarg also waterfall drunk and our car is also waiting there we pick you from there and go for hotel/homestay/camping.
